Spring Bear

Spring black bear, hunted by glassing green slopes and canyon faces and then stalking. The country is steep and the hunting is physical. Bears here often come in color phases, from blonde to cinnamon to dark chocolate.

How it runs

• Spot and stalk with your guide; no bait
• Rifle or archery

Good to know

• Spring bear tags are drawn. Apply by 10 February.
• Bring boots that will hold on wet, steep ground.
