Guided Mule Deer

Mule deer in open rimrock and bunchgrass country, glassed from the ridges and stalked. Rifle hunts are offered as management buck hunts or trophy buck hunts; archery hunts start in late summer heat.

Your guide glasses with you, plans the stalk and stays with you through the shot, the photos and the field work.

How it runs

• Archery from late August; rifle in October
• Unit 48, on private ground
• Long days of glassing; shots are often across draws, so practise at 200 yards

Good to know

• Buck hunts are booked through the 2027 season. Join the waitlist.
• Minimum .243 for deer. Expandable broadheads are allowed on deer.
• Early-season days can pass 90°F; see the early-season gear list.

The lodge

• Meals and desserts from the camp cook
